Where do you work?

What are your research interests?

I am interested in the pathogenesis and treatment of severe asthma and chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps, particularly in patients with aspirin-exacerbated respiratory disease (AERD). My work aims to better understand the immunologic and inflammatory pathways that drive these conditions and to develop targeted therapies that improve patients' quality of life. I am passionate about bridging translational immunology with patient-centered clinical investigation in disease of airway inflammation.

What scientific achievements are you most proud of?

I am proud to have built the largest clinical center and international registry for AERD, which has led to novel insights into its pathogenesis and treatment. This work has changed how the disease is diagnosed and managed worldwide. Beyond research discoveries, I’m proud of mentoring dozens of trainees, several of whom now lead their own research programs in allergy and immunology. Helping shape the next generation of physician-scientists continues to rank as near the top of my most meaningful contributions.

How has being a member of the Collegium benefited your career?

Joining the Collegium has helped broaden the visibility of my work on airway inflammation, AERD, and nasal polyposis. Both the scientific discussions and the personal interactions at the CIA meetings have sparked new ideas and inspired collaborations that continue to shape my research direction. The opportunity to present and discuss research in such a high-caliber forum has helped strengthen and refine the translational goals of my lab.

What is something you cannot live without?
