Membership

The Collegium Internationale Allergologicum (CIA) is home to a distinguished membership of leading experts devoted to advancing the understanding and treatment of allergic and immunologic diseases. Membership in the CIA is a prestigious acknowledgment of significant and enduring contributions to allergy and immunology research. Nominees are carefully evaluated for their seniority, notable achievements, and independence in the field. Proposals for new members can be made by any current CIA member, with the process culminating in a formal vote at a General Meeting held every two years. This rigorous selection process ensures that CIA members are at the forefront of shaping the future of allergy and immunology, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange among the brightest minds in the field.

Regular Membership

Regular Membership is obtained through nomination by fellow Collegium members and is subject to approval by the membership during the General Business Meeting. Membership is currently capped at 300 Regular Members.

Corresponding Membership

Corresponding Membership is granted upon retirement or when a member reaches the age of 70. Corresponding Members retain all rights and privileges of Regular Membership, but their position becomes available for the election of new members.

Lifetime Membership

Lifetime Membership is available to former CIA members in good standing who have retired from the scientific community. These members are nominated by the Council and approved by the membership during the General Business Meeting. Lifetime Members receive waived membership dues.
