2025 Symposium Highlights

Highlights from the 34th Biennial Symposium of the Collegium Internationale Allergologicum

The 34th Biennial Symposium of the Collegium Internationale Allergologicum (CIA) brought the world’s leading experts in the field of allergy research together from 27–31 October 2025 in the breathtaking city of Dubrovnik, Croatia.

This year’s scientific program featured a great mix of basic, translational, and clinical research. Interactive Poster Lightning Rounds, Poster Receptions, and a Satellite Symposium gave scientists at all career levels the chance to connect and share ideas.

We were inspired by thoughtful lectures from:

• Marc Rothenberg (United States) – Symposium Spotlight
• Zuhair K. Ballas (United States) – Paul Kallos Memorial Lecture
• Thomas Bieber (Switzerland) – Presidential Lecture

Outside of the sessions, the Gala Dinner and optional city tour gave everyone a chance to relax and enjoy time together. During the dinner, Mitchell Grayson entertained us by revisiting the light minutes from the 33^rd Biennial Symposium in Montreal, Canada.

The meeting concluded with the induction of new CIA members, welcomed by President Thomas Bieber, in recognition of their outstanding scientific work and commitment to advancing allergy and immunology research.
