In the 1950’s, the founders of the CIA envisioned a society that would promote and celebrate excellence in basic science and clinical investigation in allergy and related fields.
The next Biennial Symposium will showcase the latest research from both members and non-members, and will include prestigious invited lectures by leading experts in the field.
Dr. Pamela Guerrerio's research program is focused on understanding the genetic and immunologic pathways that lead to the development of food allergy, eosinophilic esophagitis, and other related diseases, and how this information can be translated into therapeutic benefit. Her group at the National Institutes of Health uses a multifaceted approach utilizing both human samples and mouse models.
