29th Symposium of the Collegium Internationale Allergologicum

Jeju Island, Republic of Korea
14-19 October 2012

August 2011

Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the Council, Professor You-Young Kim and I invite you to join your fellow Collegium members from around the world for our next scientifically and socially rewarding Biennial Symposium. The 29th Symposium of the Collegium Internationale Allergologicum will be held in Jeju Island, Korea, 14-19 October 2012.

From the beginning, the Collegium has been an exclusive club of friends pursuing excellence in research, in a spirit of open intellectual exchange, at meetings held in interesting and stimulating locations. We will again strive to fulfill this vision, this time in beautiful and historically important Jeju Island.

Through oral and poster presentations, this Symposium will highlight the significant scientific progress being made by our discipline worldwide, including some of the latest advances in allergy, asthma and immunology.

Jeju, South Korea’s largest island, has a mild oceanic climate throughout the year. Relatively isolated from the rest of the world, much of the island’s nature has been well preserved in it prehistoric state. Indeed, it is said that to travel to Jeju is to travel back in time. The fantastically shaped rocks decorating the seashores, the hundreds of oreums (the word in the Jeju dialect for secondary volcanoes), and the rarest species of flora are all treasures waiting to be discovered by visitors.

To learn more about Jeju Island and all it has to offer, please visit: http://english.jeju.go.kr.

Additional information regarding the Symposium, including registration and housing, will be available soon.

We look forward to seeing you in Jeju Island!

Yours sincerely,
